Bill Wilson Center

Santa Clara, CA
Chief Executive Officer: Sparky Harlan
Co-Investor: Sobrato Family Foundation

Bill Wilson Center (BWC) connects youth and their families to education, employment, housing and positive relationships. Its goal is to ensure that every youth has access to the range of services needed to grow to be healthy and self-sufficient adults.

Services include transitional housing, rapid re-housing, permanent supported housing, medical and mental health services, support groups and access to education and job training. BWC’s intervention assistance is offered without preconditions — like employment, income, absence of criminal record, or sobriety — and the resources and services provided are tailored to the unique needs of each individual and household.

“What PropelNext is doing is helping us pick one model and really break the model down so, no matter what staff person we might hire, we’re training them on the same program or base of services for each young person.”
– Sparky Harlan, CEO

Through PropelNext, Bill Wilson Center is rethinking the organization and articulation of its different types of housing programs to ensure a system of consistent implementation and quality control. Bill Wilson Center is consolidating its housing program descriptions to instead say it provides a variety of transitional housing services to different populations in need.
