Asian Youth Center

San Gabriel, CA
Executive Director: Michelle Freridge
Co-investor: Weingart Foundation

Through educational enrichment, employment training, and social services, the Asian Youth Center (AYC) helps empower at-risk, low-income, immigrant, and adjudicated youth and families of all communities to overcome barriers to success.  AYC helps youth succeed in school, at work, and in life!

AYC serves new immigrants, as well as young people who are on probation or in foster care, with culturally and linguistically competent services in Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and English.  Its programs combine academic tutoring, positive youth development, parent education, social learning, college and career preparation, vocational training, paid job placement, community service, recreation, and delinquency prevention initiatives.
