Dear Friend of PropelNext,
As we’ve shared previously, for the past several months we have been exploring different strategies and opportunities to transition the work of PropelNext into its next chapter so that it lives beyond the life of the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation. I wanted to take this opportunity to share some updates on where we are with this effort.
Our third cohort of grantees in Northern California continues to work with PropelNext to strengthen their use of data and examine their programs to improve impact and effectiveness. Our long-time partners at Learning for Action (LFA), led by Steven LaFrance, are delivering the learning and coaching services of the initiative. We are also working with funders in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey area to support the RISE Partnership, an exciting project that is integrating PropelNext’s curriculum with the work of the Scattergood Foundation, which has offered an evaluation capacity building program for the last few years. Peter Twichell remains with our team and is helping to lead PropelNext’s transition, with support from me and others at Blue Meridian Partners.
We have learned so much over the last several years, and we want to chart a course for PropelNext that allows even more organizations and individuals to participate and benefit. Though early, we have been in rich conversations with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) to explore building the next generation of the initiative. For nearly 50 years, CCL has been providing executive and leadership education to corporations, government and nonprofits. As one of the top executive education organizations in the world, CCL has been delivering award-winning blended learning programs that combine digital education with in-person sessions for more than a decade. Combining CCL’s strong leadership curriculum with PropelNext’s content focused on data and learning could result in a robust, digitally-based program that delivers the very best of both programs in an affordable, accessible and scalable way. With the help of Peter and Steven, we are in the process of exploring the viability of this combined approach and will share more about the potential partnership as our conversations advance.
We have been through many transitions over the last year yet one thing remains the same — our commitment to the work of PropelNext and our excitement about what the future holds. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support of PropelNext. We are deeply grateful.
